To the Church in Philadelphia

10 Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come on the whole world to test the inhabitants of the earth.

To the Church in Laodicea, This church will go through the tribulation

14 “To the angel of the church in Laodicea write:These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God’s creation. 15 I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! 16 So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.

Prophetic Regathering of Israel (Biblical/Jewish perspective):

  • Many biblical prophets, particularly in the Old Testament, speak of a future, even greater, regathering of the scattered people of Israel from "all nations" where they have been dispersed due to sin. This is distinct from the return from Babylonian exile, as the prophecies often refer to a worldwide dispersion.

  • This "second exodus" or "greater exodus" involves the reunification of all twelve tribes, including the "lost" ten tribes of the northern kingdom, and their return to the land of Israel.

  • This event is often tied to the coming of the Messiah and the establishment of God's kingdom on Earth.

" Behold, the eyes of the Lord GOD are on the sinful kingdom, And I will destroy it from the face of the earth, yet I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob," Says the LORD.

" For I will surely command, And will sift the house of Israel among all nations, As grain is sifted in a sieve; Yet not the smallest grain shall fall to the ground.

Who Is Involved in the Greater Exodus?
All of God’s people—both Jews and Gentiles who are grafted in through faith (see Romans 11)—are seen as participants.
Many believe it includes a physical return to the Land of Israel and a spiritual return to God’s covenant ways.

📜 Key Scriptures Behind the Greater Exodus

1. Jeremiah 16:14–15
“However, the days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when it will no longer be said, ‘As surely as the Lord lives, who brought the Israelites up out of Egypt,’ but it will be said, ‘As surely as the Lord lives, who brought the Israelites up out of the land of the north and out of all the countries where he had banished them.’ For I will restore them to the land I gave their ancestors.”

This clearly indicates a future deliverance that will overshadow the Exodus from Egypt.

2. Jeremiah 23:7–8> “So then, the days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when people will no longer say, ‘As surely as the Lord lives, who brought the Israelites up out of Egypt,’ but they will say, ‘As surely as the Lord lives, who brought the descendants of Israel up out of the land of the north and out of all the countries where he had banished them.’ Then they will live in their own land.”

3. Ezekiel 20:33–38> God says He will bring His people out “with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm” and purge the rebels from among them, just like He did in the wilderness after Egypt.

4. Isaiah 11:11–16> A second regathering from many nations and the creation of a “highway” for the remnant to return from Assyria, similar to Israel’s path from Egypt.

Ezekiel 36:24-29   I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land.

Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them. Then you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; you shall be My people, and I will be your God. I will deliver you from all your uncleanness. I will call for the grain and multiply it and bring no famine upon you.

Amos 9:11-15 “ On that day I will raise up  The tabernacle of David, which has fallen down, And repair its damages;     I will raise up its ruins, And rebuild it as in the days of old; That they may possess the remnant of Edom, And all the Gentiles who are called by My name,”

Says the LORD who does this thing.  Behold, the days are coming,' says the LORD,

' When the plowman shall overtake the reaper, And the reaper of grapes him who sows seed; The mountains shall drip with sweet wine, And all the hills shall flow with it.

I will bring back the captives of My people Israel; They shall build the waste cities and inhabit them; They shall plant vineyards and drink wine from them; They shall also make gardens and eat fruit from them. I will plant them in their land, and no longer shall they be pulled up From the land, I have given them,” Says the LORD your God.

Jeremiah 31:31-34 "Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah— not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says the LORD. But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts, and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, "Know the LORD," for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more."

Isaiah 27:12-13 And it shall come to pass in that day That the LORD will thresh,   (page 28)

From the channel of the River to the Brook of Egypt; And you will be gathered one by one,

O you children of Israel. So it shall be in that day: The great trumpet will be blown; They will come, who are about to perish in the land of Assyria, And they who are outcasts in the land of Egypt, And shall worship the LORD in the holy mount at Jerusalem.

Jeremiah 16:14-15     “Therefore behold, the days are coming,” says the LORD, “that it shall no more be said, ‘The LORD lives who brought up the children of Israel from the land of Egypt,’ but, ‘The LORD lives who brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north and from all the lands where He had driven them.’ For I will bring them back into their land which I gave to their fathers.

Ezekiel 11:17-20

Therefore say, "Thus says the Lord GOD: "I will gather you from the people, assemble you from the countries where you have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel." And they will go there, and they will take away all its detestable things and all its abominations from there. Then I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within them, and take the stony heart out of their flesh, and give them a heart of flesh, that they may walk in My statutes and keep My judgments and do them; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God (page 36)

Ezekiel 37:22-28and I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king over them all; they shall no longer be two nations, nor shall they ever be divided into two kingdoms again. They shall not defile themselves anymore with their idols, nor with their

detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions, but I will deliver them from all their dwelling places in which they have sinned and will cleanse them. Then they shall be My people, and I will be their God. “David My servant shall be king over them, and they shall all have one shepherd;

they shall also walk in My judgments and observe My statutes and do them. Then they shall dwell in the land that I have given to Jacob My servant, where your fathers dwelt; and they shall dwell

there, they, their children, and their children’s children, forever; and My servant David shall be

their prince forever. Moreover, I will make a covenant of peace with them, and it shall be an

everlasting covenant with them; I will establish them and multiply them, and I will set My

sanctuary in their midst forevermore. My tabernacle also shall be with them; indeed, I will be their God, and they shall be My people. The nations also will know that I, the LORD, sanctify Israel when My sanctuary is in their midst forevermore.”’”

Amos 9:8-9
