Eight Days

Commanded in Leviticus 23:36: "For seven days you shall offer an offering made by fire to the Lord. On the eighth day you shall have a holy convocation... it is a sacred assembly, and you shall do no customary work on it."

Tabernacles

The people were commanded to build and dwell in temporary, foliage-roofed shelters (booths or sukkot) for seven days.

Passover

God’s deliverance of the Israelites from slavery in Egypt and serving as the primary biblical foreshadowing of redemption.

Feast of Unleavened Bread

Purging leaven symbolizes a clean break from old patterns of bondage and an embrace of spiritual purity.

Feast of Weeks (Shavuot)

At Pentecost in Acts, the Law was written by the Spirit on human hearts (fulfilling Jeremiah 31:33 and Ezekiel 36:26–27).

Feast of Trumpets (Rosh Hashanah)

Marks the beginning of the civil new year with the blowing of the shofar to call for repentance.

Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur)

Core Purpose: Cleansing from sin, reconciliation between humanity and God, and seeking forgiveness for transgressions against both God and fellow human beings.
